MIAROM: Museum of Interesting Artefacts and Objects of Meaning

During these strange times admission is strictly by prior arrangement with the proprietor

The museum holds a personal and eclectic collection of exhibits with a connection around measuring and personal meaning. Artwork from three generations of the family explores colour, divinity and existential angst. A dominant theme of the museum is that of vintage technology and progression.
A stone collection includes a Stone Age knife, a Victorian archaeological find, rubble from the former iron curtain, extra terrestrial rock samples and an exhibit exploring feelings during lockdown. Antique compasses speak of direction, dice talk of chance and global currency questions our role in the world.
Measuring instruments include antique barometers, thermometers and electrical measurements. A range of communication devices span from 1907 to the present day. The library includes a range of oop local history books and poetry.

Ultimately the changing collection looks to pose the question, "What is Meaning, and can it be measured?"
